Your1000Resume is built to keep your Career Bank factual and yours. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information.
Data we collect
Account
Name, email, hashed password, and plan details. If you use a social login, we store the provider ID and email only.
Career Bank & resumes
Bullets, projects, tags, timelines, uploaded files (PDF/DOCX), generated resumes, and your Base Resume settings.
Usage
Aggregate analytics (pages, actions, device/browser, timestamps) to improve performance. No keystroke logging or ad pixels.
Billing
Processed by Stripe. Your1000Resume stores non-sensitive references (customer ID, last 4) and never full card data.
Support
Messages and attachments you send to support so we can troubleshoot issues.
Cookies
Essential cookies for auth/session security and optional analytics cookies to understand feature adoption.
How we use your data

AI usage (optional)
AI-powered tailoring
When you generate a resume, your Career Bank entries and the job description are sent to our AI provider to create a tailored resume matching the role requirements.
Provider safeguards
Your Career Bank data and job descriptions are sent to OpenAI solely to generate your requested resume output. Providers are contractually prohibited from training on your data.
You stay in control
You choose when to generate resumes and which Career Bank entries are included. Generated resumes can be edited or deleted at any time.

We work with trusted providers who help operate Your1000Resume. Each provider is contractually bound to appropriate data protection standards.

Security measures
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest for stored data.
- Role-based access and audit logs for internal tooling. Only authorized staff can access production data.
- Regular backups, monitoring, and automated alerting for anomalies.
- Annual reviews of subprocessors and security posture.
Data retention
Active accounts
We retain data while you maintain an active account. You choose what lives in Career Bank.
Deleted data
Deleting a workspace removes content from production immediately and from encrypted backups within 30 days.
Legal obligations
We may retain limited billing or support data if required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
Your rights & choices
Access
Download or view your Career Bank, resumes, and billing history at any time from your workspace.
Correction
Update or delete individual Career Bank entries, resumes, and account details directly in-app.
Export & deletion
Export your data as JSON/CSV and delete your workspace (and backups) from Settings → Data Control.
Consent controls
Toggle analytics cookies, AI Assist, and marketing email preferences in settings.
Export & deletion
From your workspace's Data Control panel you can export a copy of your Career Bank (CSV/JSON) and delete your account, including generated resumes and analytics tied to your user ID. If you need help, email support@your1000resume.com and we'll confirm once deletion is complete (usually within 48 hours).
Children
Your1000Resume is designed for adults actively seeking employment. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you via email or in-app message.
